We make good use of your unwanted items! Our mission is primarily to keep usable items out of the landfill, and also to support recycling, sustainability and environmental initiatives.
So, not unlike the traditional 'rag and bone' man, we collect your unwanted items from your door, free of charge! Then, depending on the item/s, we will either:
sell them on (the proceeds go towards our fuel/running costs. We do not make a profit)
donate them to an appropriate charity, or...
we sort the items for recycling - preventing the waste of valuable, usable materials.
We strongly encourage recycling initiatives, but recognise that it is not always possible or practical for people to dispose of certain items this way themselves, so we are happy to help out by taking items which may be recycled or reused, and pass them on to relevant charities or recycling centres for you.
Where do we operate?
We are based in North Norfolk, and we cover Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire, basically the East Anglia region of the UK.
When do we make collections?
We collect seven days a week, mornings, afternoons and evenings.
What items will we accept?
We are able to collect practically anything that would fit into the back of a car (no vans yet, but we're working on that!), so for example any unwanted books, cd's, dvd's, tools, kitchenware, pots and pans, small electricals (kettles, toasters, alarm clocks etc), mobile phones, computers, pc components, garden/garage tools, magazines, pc/console games, toys, clothes/textiles, bubble wrap, jiffy bags, bric-a-brac, wool/yarn, craft materials, leftover car boot/jumble sale items, glassware, pottery, building materials, bricks, wood/timber, glass, paint, metals, plastics, plants/shrubs/small trees, and much much more that we haven't listed...yet!
**Please note that we do not take general household refuse. We reserve the right to refuse items at our discretion.**
Not sure if we'll take something?
Ask us! We're very friendly and will gladly advise if you are unsure.
Tell us where you are - it is useful to include your postcode
Tell us when it is convenient for us to make the collection
Tell us what you've got - a rough idea will do, such as 'four boxes of bric a brac', or 'a bedside cabinet', or 'a couple of bags of assorted clothes and books' - this is so we can advise on any items we may be unable to take, and also to make sure we'll have enough room in the vehicle for those we do!
Then we'll tell you if we can take it off your hands! Good eh!
We collect seven days a week, mornings, afternoons and evenings.
So, if you don't want it any more, please don't throw it away, and please don't take it to the tip! Contact our 'wombles' instead!

an excellent concept - Tracey Smith, Writer Broadcaster Downshifting Sustainable Living
...Your site is awesome, making it so easy for everybody to dispose of their unwanted items. Your service will make such a difference not only to the environment, but to people's lives. The website looks great and is very user-friendly. It would be great to see your service expand to the rest of the UK. Best wishes, - Gina.
It's great to see someone taking the initiative to keep usable/ recyclable, unwanted items out of the landfills. Website has a very good, user-friendly design and good graphics. Loads quickly. Well done!. -BJ
What an excellent resource. I remember the wombles and especially like the reference to them and their way of life but this is a really cool idea. You also have a really well presented, elegant and easy to navigate site. Good luck. - David
Thank you!
